Perseverance is a beautiful thing!
Our small company has, in the past 15 months, endured a lot including weathering the economic storm of our lifetime.
2008 started off with a bang! The iWavecube began selling in early 2008 in Sharper Image stores and catalogs. Sales really took off in March when the iWavecube gained 15 seconds of fame (literally) with an appearance on ABC's The View. Then, Sharper Image filed for bankruptcy which threatened to take our company along for their ill-fated ride.
After Sharper Image went under, Linens 'n Things (with whom we had a pending purchase order) bought the farm, then the stock market crashed, and the rest, as they say, is history. Can you say "white knuckles"?
Yet, despite the turmoil in the global economy and because of the continued increase in visitors from around the world to iWavecube.com (I sincerely thank you for visiting), our company is now poised to soon launch iWavecube 2.0 which is 33% more powerful than the original iWavecube while still keeping the same dimensions (10.5" (W) X 10" (D) X 12" (H) and maintaining the same portability and light weight of about 12 pounds. The unique features and benefits of the iWavecube will be featured in the Smart Home by Wired magazine beginning on March 18, 2009.
In about two weeks, we will start taking orders for the iWavecube 2.0 from our website. You will see the addition of the shopping cart and storefront to our website by March 15. However, because of the downturn in the global economy, our company must be prudent about managing working capital in such an environment.
So, there will be only two or three production runs in 2009. The first production run will ship from China in mid-May and arrive in the US by around June 1. The second production run will ship from China in mid-June and arrive in the US by around July 1.
If you want to give the iWavecube as a Christmas gift then keep in mind that the third and final production run for 2009 is scheduled for August and will ship out of China in September and will arrive in America in October.
For fans of the iWavecube, outside of the US and Canada, we are working very hard to establish relationships with distributors that can get the iWavecube directly out of China and to you in a timely and efficient manner.
I will post information about the iFridgecube and the iToastcube in about 60 days. The goal is to make both products available in time for Christmas 2009.
Thanks for your support.
Have a wonderful day!
